Frequently Asked Questions
How much do transfers cost?
Our standard transfer fee for Title 1 firearms (items NOT regulated under the NFA) is $15. Our standard fee for Title 3 firearms (items regulated under the NFA – suppressors/silencers, short-barrelled rifles/shotguns, etc.) is $50. In general, a given “transfer” covers the firearm(s) noted on the ATF Form 4473. In some cases, notably multiple handguns transferred within a 5 business day period, you may incur an additional fee due to the additional processing required under federal law.
What do I need to bring for a transfer?
You’ll need a valid Indiana driver’s license or state ID. If you’re using an Indiana LTCH (License to Carry a Handgun), bring it as well – more on that can be found here. The transfer fee is due at the time of transfer.
How long does a transfer take?
Once your firearm arrives and paperwork is complete, the process usually takes 15–30 minutes. Background check results are typically instant, but may be delayed.
Do you handle private party transfers?
Yes. Both the buyer and seller must be present with valid ID. Background check and paperwork are required for compliance. For private-party transfers via online sales platforms like Gunbroker, etc., there are some other caveats – please contact us for info on that.
Can you ship firearms for me?
Yes, we offer outbound shipping services to other FFLs. Contact us to discuss your specific needs.
How will I know when my firearm arrives?
We will contact you by phone, SMS text, or email as soon as your item is logged in and ready for pickup to set an appointment. Please do not arrive before being contacted.
What hours are you open?
We’re open by appointment only. Yes, we are happy to handle your evening and weekend appointments.
